It's September already! Can you believe it? That means we are gearing up for the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk on October 29th. So, on that note, I have to share what I made to wear while I walk! Our team is called "Noble Knitters", because we meet at the local Barnes & Noble. (Monday nights at 7pm, if you want to join us!) I wanted something yarn crafty to wear and something that would stand out a bit in the crowd. Here is what I came up with:
C'est chique, no? I probably spelled that wrong, but whatever...What do you think. I used the Bernat cotton from JoAnn's that supports Susan G. Komen for the Cure. I love how the stripy effect worked in the flower. There is a big ol' plastic gem in the middle for a little bit of bling, and the feather reminds me of the old west!
